Ighomuaye Lucky, Benin The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU), Ambrose Alli University (AAU), Ekpoma chapter, has refuted claims that the institution will be reopening for its academic activities a few weeks from now. This was contained in a statement signed by the Chairperson, ASUU, AAU chapter, Dr. Monday Igbafen, and made available to newsmen in Benin. It said that plans by the university administration to reopen the institution for academic activities a few weeks from now, would not work. We wish to notify the public that we just closed from our congress meeting this morning, the 21st of January, 2019, and resolved to continue with the nationwide strike approved by our national body on 4th of November, 2018, a strike that is meant to revitalise public universities, including our own AAU, Ekpoma.
